Together, we can continue Shorewood’s history of excellence in education.
The district has given us our next goal and requested we sponsor these top initiatives:
- Updated iPads, 360 in total, necessary to access key curriculum and to prepare for the state assessment exam. Impacts grades K5-2.
- Additional after school enrichment opportunites on Wednesdays. Target activities include Computer Science, Spanish Language, and Maker Space expansion. Impacts K-8.
- Additional teacher training and materials for the new math curriculum, which will make calculus available to all students in grade 12. Elementary schools have been completed, and the rollout is now focused on grades 7-12.

Visible impacts of SEED
A key theme of SEED is keeping the school’s tools and technologies up to date. Last school year, this included new orchestra instruments, makerspace materials and state-of-the-art microscopes for the high school biology lab.

One of the most visible gifts you’ll see this school year is in the classroom libraries of our elementary schools. SEED donors funded over 8,000 new books!
